Hello!
Let me introduce myself……My name is Kelly L. Duggins and I am thrilled that you’ve taken time to visit my page!
Oak City, a small town in North Carolina, is where I was born, but presently I call Virginia Beach, Virginia home. I have lived in the Hampton Roads area for approximately 17 years, and recently I purchased a small home here. I guess that means I will be sticking around for a little while longer. The Department of History at Old Dominion University is where I spend most of my days working as the Administrative Assistant to the Department Chair. I’ve worked for ODU for 15 years, with brief stints in the Dean’s Office of the College of Arts and Letters and the Office of Admissions. While working full-time at ODU, I also attend classes. Currently, I am a pursuing a MS in the Occupational and Technical Studies – Business and Industry Training. My anticipated graduation is May, 2018. Wish me luck!
When I’m not in class or at work, you can find me doing work around the house. My most recent project was building a totally new surround for my fireplace. I had no idea that one person, a circular saw and a nail gun could make such a mess! If I’m not making messes around the house, you can find me in my music room playing around on the keyboard and singing. Please no autographs at this time :). I love music and am very involved with my church. Playing the organ/keyboard and teaching/directing music are just a few of the things I do there. Though, my favorite past time is something that I do not get to do much of these days……SLEEP!
